Primary School
We provide a versatile Primary School program from Kindergarten through Grade 5. The curriculum includes the core subjects such as language arts, mathematics, science, and social studies with a variety of specials classes ranging from music, art, P.E., and Spanish (Grades 4 &5).
Our students also have the opportunity to join a variety of extracurricular clubs each quarter that cater to a wide range of interests. From robotics and coding, to sports, art, and music, these clubs provide a platform for students to pursue their passions and develop new skills with other primary students outside of their everyday classroom.
Quarterly field trips are taken to promote learning outside of the classroom, while also fostering an appreciation for Cayman’s culture, community, and environment. Grade 5 also enjoys monthly visits to the public library, selecting new books during each visit.
Monthly assemblies are held, whereby a primary class will present on a topic of choice, with an inspirational message for all. Certificate awards are also given to acknowledge student growth in a variety of skills.
Grade 5 students are required to bring their own laptop with a charger and case, to support their engagement in technology-driven activities. Classroom iPads are also used throughout the Primary school to develop skills in a variety of topics with our learning platforms: Freckle (language arts, math, science, and social studies); Splash Learn and IXL(mathematics); and Raz kids- Reading A-to-Z (phonics/reading comprehension). Students in Grades 4 and 5 utilize agendas to stay organized and maintain open lines of communication with their families, ensuring a collaborative educational experience.
